... Or is change in charge of you?So, this is pretty exciting, I just launched my first website, www.jefflavoie.com! I mentioned in my last email something about creating a community where I could share information with my customers and hopefully this would turn into a forum for my customers to come to in search of inspiration on new ideas to take their practice to a higher level! Well, the thought got my mind going, and with lot's brainstorming and feedback from many of you, I was inspired to make a change in how I do what I do. So, I created this website. Being a rep such as myself in this market is a challenging job, with the way the world is changing so fast all around us, I'm constantly looking for ways to provide my best customers with the highest level of value. I am passionate about advancing the field of dentistry, at least as much as I can be an influence in my circle of customers. I want to look around at my customers and see Healthy Practices, or at least customers who are in the process of making changes, who are inspired to keep their practices moving forward. They are inspired even though there are pressures coming from all around, tugging at you to curl up in a ball and just keep doing what you've been doing. Insurance companies and compliance regulations are making your jobs more challenging every day.
I'm hoping through this site I can help make your life a little easier. This is just the beginning, I literally just purchased this domain/website and have had to learn how to build a site from scratch... along with my everyday work and raising a family. Change is hard, but I needed to do this, I needed a better way of taking all the information that's coming at us at lightning speed and filter out what is most beneficial to creating a Healthy Practice. This will be my/our forum for sharing this information and hopefully creating a community where everyone chimes in with their thoughts and ideas for building a better practice. I asked for ideas on what to call this forum and the one that stuck out to me was from DR Sathish, thank you for your idea... I owe you dinner! He came up with "Dentists in Charge of Change". It fit perfectly with the message here, you as dentists must be capable of change, and more importantly in charge of change. The future success of your practice hinges on this ability to adapt to these fast moving changes happening around us, otherwise you will change, it just won't necessarily be the way you wanted things to go. So, here's to kicking off a new chapter! Let's kick off the sharing of information, respond to this post below. What are some of the issues that hinder your practice. If your not comfortable posting here shoot me an email [email protected]. I will follow up with some solutions based on shared knowledge. I learn a little from every office I visit, you all do something really well. I will pull together the best solutions and communicate them here!! ps. this is all new to me, I have no clue how to build a site or blog etc, I need to learn on the fly here. Also, I'm far from a professional writer, wasn't my strength back in college, I know your shocked lol, I'm hoping to get more bettah at this two. I tend to speak my mind and it probably doesn't all come out all nice and polished.. especially writing at 1am. Jeff LaVoie
